Jay Matuszewski and Dave Kaczenski will explain what a cross-connection is and what effect back-siphonage and back-pressure can have on your system. The class will focus on how hydraulics affect your water and wastewater system and why a cross-connection control program is a necessary tool for controlling the possibility of contamination. New test procedures for different types of backflow prevention devices will be also be discussed, and there will be an open discussion on the MassDEP regulations. This class will meet the three training contact hour requirements for the Backflow Device Prevention Tester Certification Renewal in Massachusetts. 4 TCH's will be awarded upon completion of this course for water and wastewater. Class is limited to 20 participants. Walk-ins will not be admitted.
