Water Distribution Fundamentals, Tools, & Best Practices (#2022-08 & #2022-09)

Great for reviewing key concepts or trainnig entry level operators, this ourse covers water distribution basics. Topics range from the hydrological cycle to water distribution ssytems operations and maintenance. While half the battle is knowing what equipment is available, this course will also discuss how to used the equipment, along with trade secrets to ensure you can do your job well. Mainline flushing, line locating, and leak detection are a few of the topics covered.

Class will be held Live and Virtually on the Zoom platform. All participants will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone that has Zoom videoconferencing software installed, and a good internet connection. If you don't yet have Zoom, you can sign up and download here.

John Schwartz, Senior Technical Support Representative/Technical Training Manager, USABlueBook, brings over 40 years of water and wastewater experience to the training room, including roles as a water system operator, a lead/senior operator for both water treatment and distribution systems, and a water treatment and distribution system manager. He also served as a circuit rider, trainer, and technical advisor for the California Rural Water Association. John is certified in Water Treatment and Distribution in California and Montana. He holds a Utility Management Certification (UMC) for Water and Wastewater Management from National Rural Water Association's Water Univeristy.


Cancellation Policy:
Individuals registered for one of our training classes, seminars, and/or conferences will be charged the class fee if we have not received notice of canellation at least 48 hours prior to the beginning of class. Anyone contacting MassRWA to cancel enrollment in a training session will receive a cancellation number. In the event of an emergency, which would prevent attendance, please contact MassRWA as soon as possible with the details.
